When Saturn Returned

I’ll float down the stream with the seeds that we bury

Along with the storm comes through violence so cheery

A shake down of stone from a century forgotten

The rubble breathes history like fields full of cotton

Canvased with pride, oh she marches so swiftly

Holding her hands still, she thinks she’s not guilty

Mother, I’ve seen it but I can’t understand it

Give me a chance and I promise I’ll land it

Don’t call me baby, I just don’t deserve it

I’ll teach myself better, wait til you’ve heard it
