The music is blissful, I nod to each tune

A bit chilly in here this afternoon

I sip on my cold brew, tastefully bitter

The nerves from this morning beginning to wither

The breeze is from the sea, the best kind of chill

The aroma of coffee gives me a thrill

The man at the counter, his tone is so bright

Inviting each guest as if staying the night

I hear close conversation, the language I’m unsure

The energy of the newcomers, delightfully pure

I have not much money but not much concern

I do what I’m able and willing to learn

Taking a risk has so much reward
